Toasty and Warm

8x6   Oil on Paper   NFS
I painted this a week ago but couldn't post it as it's a birthday surprise but now I hear the cat's out of the bag  so it's all OK! It was somehow even more fun to paint because of the surprise.

Little Red Shed Near Canmore

6x8   Oil on Paper/Birch Panel   $175
I'm like a crow when it comes to red cabins, sheds and barns. Like the yellow car game on a trip, once you're looking for them they seem to pop up everywhere.

30 Paintings Collage

Well, this project is finished which leaves me feeling a little excited and a little sad.  If you have a picture you'd like to have painted in this style, you can get in touch on my website. The paintings are available until Feb 15th for $100. They are applied to a birch panel and are unframed.
I have so many ideas for the next project, I wonder what will sift to the top? It is February so there is still lots of time before plein air season. Some of these scenes will be painted on large panels for the Scotia Show.
If you're interrested in seeing the collages of all the participating artists go to Leslie Saeta's blog. If you're interested in doing your own collage we used picMonkey.

Family Hour

6x8   Oil on Paper

Yeah, this is number 30 of the 30 in 30 challenge. Now the final bit of the challenge is to learn how to do a collage of the project so that's what I'm up to today and I'll post that as soon as I'm done.
Stay tuned!

Ready to Play Bye?

8x6   Oil on Paper
This little guy is happy absorbing The Game just sitting watching. His Dad is from Nfld. and probably learned the game on a backyard pond too.

Look Both Ways First!

8x6   Oil on Paper
This Mom's using caution before heading onto the ice! Have you notice a familiar theme with the bright jackets? Keeps us feeling excited for Spring!
This is my 28th painting in January but I will finish the last 3 before I close this project and start painting large for the Scotia show at the end of the year. The challenge was posted by Leslie Saeta in California. She promised to direct us to a site for collaging our finished paintings and she's posted it today. Pretty neat, I thought you might want to check it out.
